The 2026 WA Fire and Emergency Services (WAFES) Conference will be held at Crown Perth on Friday 4 and Saturday 5 September and will again be rounded out with the WAFES Awards gala dinner.
The annual conference brings together DFES volunteers and staff from across the State to network and share ideas.
This year’s theme, Bright Futures, Stronger Services, celebrates the people who shape our sector today and those who will guide it tomorrow. It explores how embracing new ideas, bridging generational strengths and welcoming emerging volunteers, we can look to the future with a commitment to modern, innovative and connected emergency services.
Held over two days, the conference offers an engaging program of tours, presentations, workshops and talks from keynote speakers to help attendees build on their knowledge and skills in emergency services.
The conference is open to State Emergency Service, Volunteer Fire and Emergency Services, Bush Fire Service, Volunteer Fire and Rescue Service and Marine Rescue volunteers as well as DFES employees, including corporate staff and operational personnel.
